Welcome to Western Family Ranch!

WELCOME!

Western Family Ranch is a small, family run farm. We are located in beautiful Westmoreland, Tennessee- about an hour outside of Nashville.

We previously bred and trained Arabian and Paint Horses on our Ranch in Nevada, but- now that we have 3 young children- we have sold our stallions, and broodmares- and just own several riding horses that are teaching our children how to ride here at our Tennessee farm.

I grew up in a house with Rottweilers since I was a kid, and was exposed to showing and Schutzhund training from a young age. And with a sister in the Western United States having been breeding quality Rottweilers for over a decade- it is no surprise that after a few years of owning some wonderful rescue dogs- my husband and I decided to add a high quality Rottweiler pair, to protect our family here on the Ranch in 2012. Fast forward, and here we are almost 10 years later- and our family, and extended Rottie family, has continued to grow:) We couldn't be more proud of all our fur-babies, and we are so blessed to have been a part of sharing the love of our dogs with other wonderful families! I have seen a lot of dogs- and the devotion these "big scary Rottweilers" give to protecting a child is second to none! These gentle Giants are every bit as concerned for our childrens' safety as we are! We own several show quality AKC Registered Rottweilers ( from German and European Import lines), that are our family dogs. Our dogs are not just pets- they are part of our family, and live with us in our home, work with us on the farm, and are our trusted protectors of both our livestock and our children! We breed them from time to time to bring other high quality Rottweilers to others who are searching for the same kind of noble beasts to join and protect their families.

Western Family Ranch has been breeding quality goats for over 14 years now. Our Dairy goat does include Saanen, Nubian, and Alpine bred- that we milk for our own consumption, and enjoy making homemade cheeses and yogurts. All of our goats are either polled or disbudded at birth.

We also breed meat goats, Fullblood Boer and Boer Crosses, and fill our freezer several times a year. We own a small flock of chickens and guineas- and sometimes have eggs for sale, as well as chicks for sale in the spring.

All of our animals are regarded with love and respect. Even animals that are raised here on the farm to one day sustain us are treated with kindness and appreciation. For any who would venture to call that cruel- we would simply ask if you are a vegetarian? If you are not, then I can say with certainty that how our animals are regarded and treated is far superior to those you buy from the store shelves. Treated with kindness from the moment they are born, never traumatized or shuffled through feed lots. Then processed humanely, and nothing being wasted- the bones and scraps are fed to our dogs. We then tan the hides as well- insuring that no part of the animal is wasted.
